The Business Intelligence Developer is part of a team responsible for the development of reports, dashboards, analysis cubes, online self-serve analytics and operation automation of the BI solutions. These are BI solutions supporting internal and, external ministry stakeholders’ information reporting needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop BI solution from:
- Interpreting client requirements into technical specifications
- Turning technical specifications into solution design
- Build solution from design
- Unit test solution
- Initiate and participate in meetings for:
- Design review
- Peer Review
- Architecture Review
- Client Demonstration
- Iteration Planning
- Scrums
- Capturing technical metadata for information products
Mandatory Experience/Skill Criteria:
- Experience working in a data warehouse/Business Intelligence environment in a development or support role - two (2) years.
- Experience with relational database modeling techniques - two (2) years.
- Experience with dimensional modeling techniques - two (2) years.
- Experience using SQL - two (2) years.
- Experience working in a Windows operating system environment - two (2) years.
- Experience with report development. - One (1) year
- Experience with information integration development. - One (1) year
- Experience with metric, BI analytic development. - One (1) year
- Experience with information portal development. - One (1) year
- Experience with stored procedures and triggers - One (1) year
- Experience with Web content management. - One (1) year
Desirable Experience/Skill Criteria:
- Experience with SQL Reporting Services
- Experience with SQL Integration Services
- Experience with SQL Analytical Services
- Experience with SharePoint Web Parts
- Experience with stored procedures and triggers
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint development
- Experience in BI Mobile solution development and deployment
- Experience in implementing geographic visualization
- Experience in geographic system(s)
- Experience in designing, developing and maintaining Cognos 10 Framework Manager package
